Customs, Shipping & Delivery
Pickshunter is a marketplace. We are not a customs broker or courier, and the traveler or courier who carries your item is responsible for crossing the border lawfully. This policy is part of the Terms of Use.
1. Delivery methods
- In-person handover. The traveler brings the item to Egypt and meets you (or arranges handover) after the trip. You check the item, then share the 6-digit code.
- Courier or shipment where the app offers it. A courier delivers within Egypt or ships to you. The review window is then 72 hours after delivery.
2. Delivery estimates
Dates in the app (for example "Arrives 14-16 Oct") are estimates and depend on the traveler's trip. They can change because of flight changes, weather, strikes, customs, security checks or traveler delays. A late order is not a breach unless it passes the grace period in the Refunds & Buyer Protection policy; you may then cancel for a full refund. Exact trip dates stay private for the traveler's safety.
3. Customs, duties and taxes
- The price shown includes the tax paid in the store abroad. It does not automatically include Egyptian customs duty, VAT or other import charges.
- If customs charges apply to goods carried by a traveler, they are paid by the party the order says is responsible (by default the traveler, unless the buyer agreed in the app to pay or share them). Hidden extra charges must not be demanded at handover; contact us if you are asked.
- Customs may inspect, value, tax, hold or seize goods. Pickshunter does not control these decisions and does not guarantee clearance, valuation or timing.
- If customs holds or seizes your item, you receive an automatic full refund of the item price, as set out in the Refunds & Buyer Protection policy, except where the item was ordered in breach of the Prohibited & Restricted Items list. Travelers handle customs procedures and any appeal at their own cost.
4. Risk, loss and damage
The traveler or courier is responsible for the item while it is in their care. Risk passes to the buyer when the buyer accepts the item at handover. Pickshunter does not insure items or luggage. If an item is lost or damaged in transit, the buyer is refunded under the refund policy.
5. Handover safety
- Meet in a safe public place or use a courier. Check the item before giving the code.
- Never share the code by message or phone; never before you hold the item.
- If something is wrong, say so and open a dispute; do not share the code.
6. Failed delivery
If the buyer cannot be reached or refuses a correct item after reasonable attempts, the traveler may cancel and be compensated for documented costs, as set out in the refund policy.
7. Returns and warranty
Because items are bought abroad and carried personally, returns to the foreign store are generally not possible. Store return rights belong to the traveler as the purchaser and cannot normally be used by buyers. Manufacturer warranties may not be valid in Egypt.
